About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. You will help promote a welcoming environment while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, access-control procedures, and compliance with facility policies.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
