Security Officer Part Time Hospital Patrol

Allied Universal® offers a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position designed to provide flexible, dependable income with consistent hours at an assigned site. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with the option to scale hours up or down as needed.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
• Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role offers opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and guests by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the residence, common areas, entrances, grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain courteous interactions with residents and guests.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site policy.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
