As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Part Time
- Wednesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Thursday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor and contractor screening procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
Minimum Requirements
- Be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
- Be willing to work in a hospital morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
