Security Officer Part Time Hospital Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. This is a part-time position in Westwood, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete required incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Updated vaccinations for COVID-19 and flu shot (required for medical field work).
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.00 / hour

• Tuesday: 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thursday: 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
