Security Officer Part Time Parking Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a transportation location, you will monitor and patrol public parking areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. You will report observations, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to parking facility patrons, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of parking garages, lots, entrances, exits, stairwells, elevators, and surrounding perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, vehicle and pedestrian activity, and parking-related conditions; report suspicious activity, hazards, damage, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, parking-related disputes, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
