Security Officer - Part Time Overnight

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Fort Wayne, IN. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and communicate professionally with personnel and visitors. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, perimeter areas, parking areas, access points, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, and report access concerns or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
