Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, roadways, perimeter areas, and other designated property to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact emergency services and site representatives as directed.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
