Security Officer Part Time Licensed Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Licensed Driver in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities. This driving position offers the opportunity to help deter security-related incidents while using computer and tablet systems to support daily operations. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, manage access control, and provide professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facility buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and emergency responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Schedule

Part Time. Day shifts: Saturday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM, Sunday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM.
