Security Officer Part Time Identity Management

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer focused on Identity Management in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. This position emphasizes access control: monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and maintaining accurate access records. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and respond to security-related concerns while providing exceptional customer service. The role offers flexibility through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore additional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or unauthorized access.
• Assist with documenting incidents, maintaining daily activity logs, and communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (Allied Universal considers qualified applications with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws).
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.50 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time. Shifts: Friday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM; Saturday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
