About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare facility in Cleveland, OH. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and communicate clearly during routine and urgent situations. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Requirements

  • Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.00 / hour

Schedule

  • Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
  • Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
