Security Officer Part Time Healthcare Facility

About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare facility in Cleveland, OH. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and communicate clearly during routine and urgent situations. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
Requirements
- Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
- Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$16.00 / hour

- Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
- Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
