As a Security Officer Part Time Gatehouse in Santa Teresa, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, process visitors and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related activities and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions throughout the location.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by observing trailer movement, access at gates, and/or vehicle check-in processes in alignment with post orders and client guidelines.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
