Security Officer Part Time - Gate Guard

About the role

Apart from serving and safeguarding clients in various industries like Food/Beverage, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
• Maintain access control for employees, vendors, contractors, and visitors; verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals according to site requirements.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
