About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Ambassador in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while communicating professionally with employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential verification, visitor sign-in processes, and/or direction to approved locations.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic technology workplace.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
