About the role
As a Part-Time Patrol Documentation Specialist in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, lobbies, office areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- State, county, or city-issued Security Professional license (preferred).
- Customer service experience (preferred).
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
