About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and assist with maintaining an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Observe entry and exit points, loading areas, and designated restricted spaces to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
