Security Officer Part Time Entry Control

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access procedures, and provide professional communication to employees and visitors. You will help maintain a welcoming, security-related environment while responding to access concerns and supporting site operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Verify identities, credentials, access authorizations, and visitor documentation before permitting entry to restricted areas at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor access control systems, maintain accurate visitor and access logs, and report access discrepancies or suspicious activity according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
