Security Officer Part Time Driver Patrol

About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. This unarmed alarm panel driver position at a manufacturing and industrial location in Wilmington, NC requires a valid driver’s license. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and remain visible to help deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol activities, incidents, access control, and security-related observations.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
