About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer Driver Patrol in Tarrytown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. This role combines front desk duties with access control, visitor management, and security-related communications in a healthcare setting. You will use computer or tablet systems, respond to inquiries, and help maintain an orderly environment. This driving position emphasizes exceptional customer service, teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and people-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures and reception policies.
- Manage front desk access by greeting visitors, verifying identification and appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests according to established procedures.
- Monitor entry activity, maintain visitor logs and other required records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Support a professional, welcoming healthcare environment while helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting unusual activity.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- CPR certification (preferred).
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Pay
$22.64 - $23.64 / hour
Schedule
- Daytime shifts: Monday and Sunday, 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
