About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access processes, monitor alarm panels, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, issue or collect visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of retail areas, stockrooms, delivery locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
  • Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting with access-related questions, and communicating professionally with store personnel and visitors.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Pay

$18.50 / Hour

Schedule

  • Monday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
