As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and assisting visitors and staff. You will use technology to document activity, respond to access-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare-related location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect temporary badges, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor entry records.
• Control entry to restricted areas in accordance with established procedures and promptly report unauthorized access attempts or credential concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas to identify and report security-related concerns, access control issues, and unusual activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Day Time, Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
