Security Officer Part Time Driver Credential Intake

About the Role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Security Officer / Driver Credential Intake in Memphis, TN. The position supports a welcoming, secure environment in a healthcare setting, managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and assisting visitors and staff. The role offers flexible scheduling through the “Claim a Shift” platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Respond to access‑control incidents, unauthorized‑entry concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security‑related concerns.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly healthcare environment by directing visitors, supporting employee and contractor access needs, and documenting incidents and daily activities according to Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions) in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Minimum age: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.

Pay

$17.65 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime shifts: Saturday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Sunday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM.
