Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to the appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access when required, and document daily activities, incidents, and security-related concerns in accordance with post instructions.
- Aid in emergency response activities, directions, and crowd management during routine operations and/or unusual events while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
