Security Officer Part Time Credential Verification

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and visitor activity to help support authorized access for employees, contractors, drivers, and guests at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, loading areas, and parking locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and delivery records, and report unusual activity or policy violations to help support orderly site operations and security-related compliance.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses required may be subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
