About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Screener at a government location, you will support access screening operations, observe activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns in alignment with site procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals and personal property using designated screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Verify access credentials and direct visitors to designated areas in accordance with government facility protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$22.09 / hour

- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
