About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer Bicycle Route Patrol in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. This active role is ideal for someone who enjoys riding a bike for extended periods, working collaboratively, and acting with integrity. You will conduct routine bike patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally with visitors and staff, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned public areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the assigned location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate professionally with local personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting protocols.

Requirements

• Must be able to ride a bike.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
