Security Officer Part Time Bicycle Perimeter Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer, supporting a welcoming public environment through visible bicycle patrols and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• Must be able to ride a bike.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
