About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established response protocols.
- Complete detailed activity reports, patrol logs, and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
