About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Charlestown, IN, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control and badge processes, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain accurate entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and designated client contacts.
• Support protection of telecommunications equipment, materials, and other site assets by observing shipping and receiving activity, reporting discrepancies, and following established security-related protocols.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
