Security Officer - Part Time

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities appropriate for a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, high-traffic areas, and/or designated posts for policy compliance, assist with directions and general inquiries, and document security-related incidents as needed.
- Support closing procedures, crowd management needs, and/or after-hours checks based on location requirements, while maintaining a professional presence throughout the property.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to respond calmly to incidents and disturbances.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina for patrolling and monitoring areas.
