Security Officer Part Time

About the role

Apart from serving and safeguarding clients in various industries like Utilities, you will join a dynamic team contributing to a culture that positively impacts the communities and customers we serve.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, grounds, and perimeter access points to help identify and report suspicious activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas, verify authorized access as directed by site policies, and document visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle activity when required.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating clearly with site contacts and/or emergency personnel, and completing required logs, reports, and other documentation accurately.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
