Security Officer Part Time Armed Security Clearance Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Huntsville, AL, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.
• Maintain required reports, logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.53 / Hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
