As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a controlled environment. You will communicate professionally with staff and visitors, respond to situations as needed, and provide customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit in accordance with site policies; maintain awareness of restricted areas and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, communicate relevant information to site representatives and/or emergency responders, and maintain required documentation.

Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.50 per hour

Schedule

Part-time. Thursday and Saturday, 5:45 AM – 6:00 PM.
