Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Monitor

About the role

As a Part-Time Armed Patrol Monitor in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and respond with professionalism. This Level III armed role supports employees and visitors through exceptional customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors entering sensitive areas.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

$25.00 / Hour

• Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thursday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
