Security Officer Part Time Patrol Monitor

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and/or notifying the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, office spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, public areas, and restricted locations, assisting with authorized entry procedures and/or reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Support crowd management and orderly movement during peak travel periods, service disruptions, and/or special events, while following post orders and client-specific guidelines.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years of age.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years of age.
