Pay Rate
$21.59 - $22.59 / Hour
Job Schedule
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and authorized access points to help support site policies regarding visitors, deliveries, and/or after-hours activity.
- Aid with security-related reporting, routine checks, and communication with staff regarding policy questions, operational concerns, and/or incidents occurring on the property.
Minimum Requirements
- One or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
