About the role
As an Armed Security Officer Part Time Boundary Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond professionally to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a caring, people-first culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and the public.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, municipal site policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking areas, and site perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Document patrol activity and incidents accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors, designated site personnel, and/or emergency responders.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
