Security Officer Part Time - Alarm Response

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer (Alarm Response) in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This unarmed Patrol Officer role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents, and supporting access control at a retail distribution location. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and work as part of a reliable team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution center.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, or potential hazards, and complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• Alarm panel experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.

Pay

$16.26 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
