Security Officer Part Time Alarm Panel Patrol

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer (Alarm Panel Patrol) in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, data-related areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and authorized entry procedures while maintaining accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, and operational concerns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (required by client).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background investigation, drug screen, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification.
• Customer service experience.
• Alarm panel experience.

Pay

$20.80 per hour.

Schedule

• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
