Security Officer Part Time - Aerospace and Defense

Allied Universal® offers a flexible, part‑time Security Officer – Enhanced position for individuals seeking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career. The role is based at an aerospace and defense location in Moses Lake, WA, providing reliable, consistent hours with the option to pick up additional shifts.

Pay

$26.20 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Thursday, 09:30 AM – 05:30 PM (fixed “anchor” shift with a six‑month commitment; additional shifts may be claimed through the scheduling platform).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and vehicle entry requirements in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while complying with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Armed Guard Card or license.
• Handcuffing certification (preferred).
• Pepper spray certification (preferred).
• CPR certification (preferred).
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements as required by state or local law; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
