About the role
As a Part-Time Access Verification Driver Security Officer in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, controlling site access, and providing professional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in the job state and applicants must be 21 or older.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor access materials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding shift activity, unusual conditions, and incidents requiring follow-up.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$16.60 / Hour

- Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Thursday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
