What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and delivery records, and direct authorized personnel and vehicles according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, business facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify irregular conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs related to visitor access, vehicle activity, incidents, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
