As an Access Control Officer at a transportation location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour
- Position Type: Part Time
- Schedule: Wed 05:00 AM - 09:00 AM, Thur 05:00 AM - 09:00 AM, Fri 05:00 AM - 09:00 AM, Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points for vehicles, trailers, drivers, visitors, and authorized personnel; verify credentials and maintain required access records.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, vehicle and trailer areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Maintain clear, accurate daily activity logs, visitor records, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
Requirements
- Guard Card/License preferred.
- CPR Certification preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
