Security Officer Part Time Access Operations

The part‑time Security Officer – Access Operations position in Myerstown, PA, supports clients in industries such as logistics and distribution. The role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and maintaining a secure, welcoming environment for employees and guests.

Pay

$18.00 per hour

Schedule

Daytime shifts: Saturday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Sunday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points for a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access, direct delivery drivers to designated areas, and communicate access‑related information to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established site procedures and reporting concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience (roles in security operations, risk management, or related fields).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet; proficiency with basic software applications, email, and digital platforms.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Possess a valid driver’s license if the position requires driving.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
