Security Officer Part Time Access Management

As a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced Access Management in Montgomery, AL, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Adjust your hours weekly—work part-time one week and full-time the next, with the option to scale back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, visitor access, and credential requirements in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify visitor, vendor, and contractor authorization; issue and collect visitor credentials; and maintain required access-related records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access restrictions and notifying appropriate site personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, access points, and the facility perimeter to identify unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
