Security Officer Part Time Access Management

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer specializing in Access Management at a manufacturing and industrial location in Lakewood, NY, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to security-related concerns. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter unauthorized access while supporting a welcoming experience for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, issue temporary access credentials, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, access control events, and observations in required reports while maintaining professional communication with site personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (qualified applicants with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws).
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations (may be required prior to employment).
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.33 per hour

Schedule

Part-time overnight shifts: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
