Security Officer Part Time Access Control Driver

About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor activity to support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor and control access at entry and exit points for a logistics and distribution location, verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain accurate visitor, driver, and delivery records; issue and collect credentials as directed; and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Pay
$19.00 / Hour

- Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
