Security Officer Part Time Access Systems Driver

About the role
As an Access Control Officer supporting a utilities location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns. You will maintain a professional presence, help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
- Communicate clearly with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership while completing accurate activity, incident, and access-related reports.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
