Security Officer Part Time Access Control

As a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced Access Control in Vicksburg, MS, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings and experience.

This role requires a six-month commitment to your designated site and weekly shift. Through our Claim-A-Shift program, you can pick up extra shifts, allowing you to scale your hours from part-time to full-time (up to 40 hours per week) based on your availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, access points, employee parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and documenting arrivals, departures, and unusual activity.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$15.20 per hour.
