As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution center, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor and badge access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service while remaining visible to help deter incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution location; verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen and direct delivery drivers, vendors, and visitors according to site requirements while maintaining professional communication.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour
• Schedule: Daytime, Friday 06:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sunday 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
