Security Officer Part Time Access Control

About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Control at Allied Universal in Vernon, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor entries, maintaining access logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry and exit points, loading docks, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and exterior access points, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
